Eurodisney S.C.A. (Euronext: EDL) is the company that owns and operates Disneyland Paris in Marne-la-Vallée, France as its mentioned in eurodisney map. 39.78% of shares are held by The Walt Disney Company, 10% by the Saudi Prince Alwaleed and 50.22% by other shareholders. The stock in eurodisney is traded on the Euronext Paris exchange.

 

The Resort of eurodisney is a result of an agreement signed on 24 March 1987 between The Walt Disney Company and the French Authorities for the development of a new tourist destination, and construction began within a year. Since opening on 12 April 1992, eurodisney Resort has created more than 30,000 jobs (both directly and indirectly) in the region to the east of Paris. On April 12, 1992, eurodisney (later renamed Disneyland Paris) opened its doors in Seine-et-Marne, in Marne-la-Vallée as you can see in eurodisney map. Four years earlier, before the start of construction, there were only beet fields in eurodisney. Now, the "Magic Kingdom of Disney" covers 60 hectares and includes 29 attractions, seven hotels and the Disney Festival (now Disney Village). Eurodisney is the first amusement park opened in Europe by the heirs of Walt Disney. The latter preferred Marne-la-Vallée to any other location, particularly in Spain.
